SINCERELY FRO ME TO YOU- This may be the reason I think I'm so fat.

I believe this was the summer of 1984 and I was 11 years old. I ate burgers and fries almost on a daily basis and could not gain a pound if I tried. I spent most of my days out in the sun and would be brown as a bear and kept a tan until December. I continued to look like this until about my sophomore year of school when I started drinking a lot of (not Mt. Dew.) but Coke. Really put the weight on me.

Aw, those were the days! I sure wish I had that metabolism today.

SINCERELY FRO ME TO YOU- The Bad Thing About FaceBook is...

unlike bloggers, they have an old picture of you in the 6th grade lovin' on some stuffed animal you got on the trip to D.C.!
I mean this is not some rebellious teen that had a few drinks, this is a sober 6th grader! I don't know which is more embarrassing!

(sorry so small)

Let me remind you of my rebel stage...always makes for a good laugh!

SINCERELY FRO ME TO YOU- Lukey

As most of you know I have a lot of love for my FIL Luther. He's not in the best of health these days and is not able to see Pebbles as much as he'd like to. So we had him and my MIL down for dinner Tues. night and I was so glad he was able to come. In this picture Janice and "Lukey" (that's what I call him) were sing "ride 'em pony" to Pebbles and she was really enjoying their singing!

After they left I kept laughing about this funny thing that happened to Lukey once when a cop pulled him over. His hearing is very bad and almost got him in big trouble!

Luther's headlights did not work, but he took a chance on going to the store real quick. He wasn't gone in no time when he got pulled over. He wasn't thinking about the law and he jumped out of his car and walked over to the cop to tell him he knew about his lights. Here's how the conversation went from there:

Cop: Have a seat in your car sir.

Luther: Yes Officer (still standing)

Cop: Have a seat in your car sir

Luther: Yes Officer (still standing)

Cop: Do you understand what I'm saying?

Luther: Yes Officer I do. (still standing)

Cop: Have a seat in your car now sir

Luther: Well, let's see there are 4 seats in my car.

Officer: What???

Luther: Yes, of course I have seats in my car.

Officer: (starting to chuckle)

Luther: Didn't you ask me if I had seats in my car?

Officer: Just cracked up laughing and said NO, I asked you to have a seat in your car sir. You are never to get out of your car while being pulled over.

Luther: Well, I'm sorry Officer I just wanted to tell you about my lights.

They both laughed hysterically and the cop said:
Get out of here!!

SINCERELY FRO ME TO YOU- Photo Decision

On Mother's Day every year our church does the Baby Dedication Service. Here's how my church explained it:

Last year we were on vacation when they did this and I was bummed when I wasn't able to do it. My only dilemma is finding the right photo that will be shown on the BIG screen for the special occasion.
So, I turn to you for your vote. Right now Pebbles has a bad cold, but hopefully sometime next week I can get her outside and take more. If she's still sick I'll choose from one of these.
Thanks!

Not bad.

Snotty nose and wild hair.

Great, Fred's "wife beaters" (white tank shirts) are in the background!

I like this one a lot, but I'm not sure about that hair again!

This is one of my favorites. Such sweet clean flawless fair skin.

This one in the hot pink I LOVE...wish she was smiling.

Although you may not see it, there quiet a bit of snot coming out of that little nose...and the hair, hehe.

Snot, slobber & wild hair, but VERY cute!

Don't get me wrong, as her mom I find them all adorable! Wouldn't erase a one of them!
Well, give me your 2 cents worth.

SFMTY**A Seed Was Planted

As we approach Easter I was wondering how and when my belief and faith in God started. I remember praying on and off all my life, even as a YOUNG child. There was some tough times in my childhood and I can remember turning to God. But, my earliest memory is when I was very little and my Mom would sing me to sleep with this song:
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Black and yellow, red and white
They're all precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world

I feel that my Grandma Wee and my Mom may have planted the seed that led me to believe in God.
Easter seems to be a holiday where a lot of the "unsaved" go to church with their families and often times their lives are changed by this special day.
I am very Thankful for those who prayed for me and planted the seeds in my life. And I intend to do the same thing for my daughter and call her name out to the Lord.

Ephesians 1:17-19
Lord, give our children the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, and the knowledge of You. That the
eyes of their hearts be enlightened that they will know the hope to which you have called them, the
riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and His Incomparably great power for us who
believe.

So, I would love to hear stories on how your belief came about or what you are doing with your children.

Sincerely Fro**The Hair Do's and Mostly Do Nots of My Life

I tend to have a pattern with my hair. It will grow to the length I want and then for whatever reason I go and CHOP it off! Plan to let it grow again and when it gets to that transitional phase...I CHOP it off. Take a look for yourselves.

Please try not to look at my face here (if you can) just my hair. This is how I want it again...minus the banana bangs! Since I'm an older Mom I want to look as young as possible when I take Pebbles to her first day of school. The other Mothers with be 20 somethings I'm sure. And I know when I'm around 50 yrs old, it'll be short from then on.

Most current picture of me on here.

Thinking I'm Victoria Beckham with my Mom's Prada sunglasses!

Aw, my sweet FIL Luther.

Um...halloween.

So, wish me luck on growing it long again. Seems like it's growing at a snails pace for some reason. Hey, remember that mane and tail stuff in the 80's??! Maybe I should give that a try, LOL!

If you want be completely honest and tell me which style you like or don't like.

SINCERELY FRO ME TO YOU- Busy here in Bedrock

Hi, Wilma here.

Sorry if I have not commented as much on your blogs lately I have been doing a lot of this:

I usually do most of my blog rounds at night and here lately I've fallen asleep.

And I'm about to do a lot of this:
Pebbles party will be on Sat and I'm trying to get the house all spic and span!

I've been waiting for my hair to do this:

Click HERE to see what I won't be doing!

Gotta go get some sleep.
Go now for more!

My Posse

THE BLOGGERS PRAYER

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck,
manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly -
all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house
and take care of my family.
Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life.
And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.
