Amy meets Amy

A few years ago you could have never convinced me that you could make some of your best friends online. When I was pregnant with Madi in 2006 Andy's cousins told me how blogging was a way to share stories and photos with friends and family. So, I basically started it so our out of town families could see my pregnancy process and Madi's birth and milestones. Little did I know all the great women that I would get to know and call my friends. I feel like Amy and I can talk about anything and everything...I am blessed to have her in my life and thankful that I got to hug her and see her in person!!

Strike a pose.

Can you hear us laughing...poor Andy, lol! He was taking our picture and we were making accusations about it! With two Amys he didn't stand a chance.

The time went fast and the closer we got to Ohio I realized how much I wished we lived closer to each other.
What a cool thing this world wide web truly is :)

I am Blessed :)

We finally got moved in! I am adjusting way faster than I thought I would and Madi loves the fact that this home is bigger. Glad we are almost finished with it all.

This sat. my little baby turns 3. I cannot believe it!! But, it is such an exciting age for all of us. As you all know she is the joy in my life and God has blessed me with her. She is very excited about her big day.

AND THEN...I get to see one of my besties in person for the first time!!! We met through this awesome world of blogging and have chatted a lot since then. We have talked well over a year and almost daily for quiet some time now. So, I will have plenty of pics for all occasions.
Sorry to make this post so short but I am on Wendy's WiFi time, lol!
Internet coming soon...

Bryan's Funeral

Never Forgotten

On Sunday evening we went to my friend's funeral. Our Pastor said people came and went from 4-7 (viewing) and when we sat down for the funeral service people were still in line to give their condolences. The family was tired and the Pastor told those left in line that he was sorry, but we had to get on with the funeral. We waited in line for I would guess about 35 minutes and I'm so glad I got the chance to hug his Mom & Brother.
They had beautiful pictures of him with his (ex) wife and children, high school days and him playing his drums.
Our church seats (I think) 800 people so I'm estimating around 400+ people were there. The Pastor said "I know one thing, this boy was loved."

This picture is exactly how he looked when I ran around with him & friends. He was a handsome young man.

**Sorry if I haven't been a very good commenter lately, I've been talking to friends on FB about this tragedy.**

Bryan

An old high school friend of mine was killed in a car accident on Weds.
Growing up he was friends with my step brother Jarrod and they were in a band together. I was dating the singer Brandon (who is deceased as well) and we were all together quiet often for a couple of years.
I hadn't seen him in about 15 years or so and then I saw him at church one evening. He walked right passed me as I smiled at him and then he took a double take. Uh..Amy? he said, questioning if it was me or not due to the last time we were together my hair was a foot tall! We talked a little bit and he told Fred how going to our church was good for his soul and how he liked the fact that it's "teaching" and not just preaching. His parents go there as well as his girls sometimes. His mother Mary is Pebbles' nurse and such a sweet, sweet lady.
I have been blue all week about his death. He was just one of those guys that everyone liked to be around. He still played the drums in a band and I think a few times at our church. Strange how we lose touch with people and then when something like this happens it brings fun memories back and time stops a little.
He will be missed by many.

Thank You...

Valarie~You made me realize I need to slow down and try not to do it all at once.

Jennifer~ You sent me prayers, respect and love. Thanks for lifting my spirit.

Jessie~You give me so much support and have helped me in the past with emails. And I know you have been down this road yourself.

Happy Mommy~ You really know how it is with our family & food. You are one of my biggest inspirations right now. You have done so well with keeping your weight off. I brag on you all the time girl!

D~ "A small goal tricks the mind" has rang in my head this week. Thanks for making me see it as a step by step process.

Marlene~ You are just the kindest soul. You told me to look at food as death, this has helped me tremendously! It's the SAME way I quit smoking.

Dawn~ You have made me realize that while I feel like I need someone to come save me from myself, I have that someone...His name is Jesus. That was a real wake-up call for me!

BHE~ You are such a good friend to me. You make me feel like I can talk to you anytime, about anything. I love your humor-helps me a lot.

Jenn~You told me to pray about it before entering the kitchen, wonderful idea. And your right, He is strong when we are weak.

Metabolic~ You made me feel like I'm not alone. And anyone who has a problem needs to know there are others just like them out there.

For you kind words, prayers and support regarding my crossroads post. Your words have been in my head all week.
I am working on getting the right mindset and then I'll join the road to a healthier lifestyle.

(if I forgot anyone, please let me know)

My Posse

THE BLOGGERS PRAYER

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck,
manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly -
all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house
and take care of my family.
Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life.
And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.
----The Dust Bunny Hostage
