Continued...
Fred and I could not stand to be apart for one day at this point. He would pick me up from work and we would spend as much time as we possibly could together. We would go shopping, out to eat and to the drive in theater. I think we saw Wayne's World one too many times there! He would do sweet things like buy me little gifts and have a cute story behind it. We would talk all night about ever subject under the sun and laugh 'till we were half sick! He was becoming my "boyfriend" and my best friend all at the same time.
As we began to get even closer he told me that it was time to end it if I didn't want to get real serious. I was 18 and he was 24. He was making sure that I understood he wasn't into playing games anymore, sowed his oats already and wanted to make sure I was ready for the commitment. All I knew was I did not want to go a day without seeing his face.
We had been together for close to a year and I was still living at home with my Mom & Brother. My Mom came home from work one day and told us her job was making her relocate. I was so afraid that I would be moving and have to have a long distance relationship with Fred. My Brother ended up taking our house and turning it into a bachelor's pad, so I knew I did not want to live there. Mom moved about 2 1/2 hours away and I...moved in with Fred. We believed in God, prayed and even went to church on occasion but, we were not Saved at that point in our lives.
To be continued...
