Back in 1983 when I was around the age of 10 (quit doing the math!) I was big into gymnastics, ballet, jazz, acrobats and dance classes. We had a lot of fun and would put on recitals for our families and do some minor competitions. My Mom was always so proud of her little girl, so when they told her she could have a wooden cutout of her daughter made you know she just had to have them!
TaDa!

I don't know what is more fun- the kookienes of those wood cut-outs OR the fact you STILL have them!
Awesome.
Thank you for participating the Sincerely Fro Me to You today!!!
Cute, yet a little creepy! :-)
How funny! It's like having a paper doll in your own image...
My eyes quickly went to the little pom pom socks... I LOVED THOSE!!!! :)
I see Miss Pebbles in that face of yours. :)
Have a great Thursday!
Oh those are so cute! I would have them made of my son too. :)
Those are the neatest, cutest...I need to have that done for the Diva and Peepers...I'd forgotten all about them!
And I love the new pictures of Pebbles on your Blog description!
Ha ha! Those cutouts remind me of the ones our skating rink used to have. Great memories!
You were the first American Girl doll!

lol! that's hilarious! but yes, a little creepy :P
I love the cut-outs! But ... how big are those things?
You were adorable!
Are you not just the cutest little thing? Really cute pictures.
My cousins always had the cut outs in magnet form on their fridge. I was so jealous our sports teams in MD didn't do that. Maybe now, I am not so jealous. :-)
Once upon a time my brother and I put on a circus show in the living room. Part of the routine was to stand on our heads.
I ran out.... took my position and stood on my head. Then came my brother to do the same thing. (This was going to look REALLY cool, you know.)
Well- he stood on his head for about 2 seconds, lost his balance and fell ..... and kicked me in the face.
That ended the performance.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any better than the big hair....
LOVE this!!
*giggles*
The keychains and buttons of yester-year :)
I can make you some really cute little outfits for those cut-outs...think holidays!!!
These are the most precious things ever...I wish I had some of the kiddos.
Sorry...blogger is being a butt.
Those are creepy in a cute way! How adorable you are!
P.S. Pebbles will be 2 soon? What fun!
Oh my gosh!!! Where do you store them? Or do you just decorate your bedroom with them? Because I would totally do that!
Oh Wow! You come up with some of the greatest stuff for this carnival! Thanks for the chuckle!
what a doll!
Your mom rocked!
These little cut outs always crack me up when I see them at peoples houses. I actually almost made them of the softball players for a dinner we were having. I might still do them for the end of the year party.
Those are great cutouts! Aren't you glad you held onto them?
