Wordless Wednesday...

This makes me sick! There's a new show called Toddlers & Tiaras on TLC and I can't even stand the commercials.

Here's my idea of pretty toddlers.
Please forgive me if your daughter is not on here...I only had a certain amount of space.

And especially this one!

I have to agree...those poor little girls are going to be such broken women after carrying around baggage from that sort of treatment. It breaks my heart for them!

Thanks for featuring my Rose! :)

I agree with you 110%. I never did and never will understand that whole deal with Toddlers and Tiaras. Any of it for that matter. Gee whiz...

Pebbles.... what a doll! Can you give her a bit of a squeeze for me? She's just so cute!

Wow!! I am almost envious of this post because I didn't think of it first!! Couldn't agree more!
-- and thank you, btw.

I think I threw up in my mouth a little. Truly. My idea of a pretty toddler is the same as yours.

I have not heard of that show. It saddens me what some parents do to their children.

I AGREE! TODDLERS are MORE BEAUTIFUL in their OWN INNOCENCE!

surprised to see my sissy on your blog this morning..next to all the others she looks sooo serious!

As for the "models" I've been told many time I should get sissy involved and many times I've thought..no that's not the life I want for her..the beauty she has is only for God.

Ditto ditto ditto to what you and everyone is saying in the comments. That show looks disturbing. I worry for the toddlers who will surely be emotionally damaged and for the mothers who choose that life for their sweet baby girls. Surely they are dealing with their own bag of issues.

Great post!

Yes, what is cute about putting 3 lbs of makeup on a child?

Those poor children.

It should be against the law to dress a child like that!!!

Ok, beat me, stone me or whatever but I grew up in pageants. I didn't turn out bad at all. But back then we weren't dressed as makeup soaked little girls either. Nor looked liked barbies. We were dressed in cute little ruffly dresses and had our hair done but that was about it.

I have watched the show some and in my opinion it seems to be a southern thing. Yes, I'm southern as well. If done appropriately it does boost self confidence whether winning or losing and does have its good points.

I can't believe anyone would subject there precious little girl to that. Why do people want there little gir to come across looking sexy?

My Posse

THE BLOGGERS PRAYER

Lord help me to learn to spell without spellcheck,
manage to visit all that visit me, and post regularly -
all in 5 minutes a day, so that I can clean house
and take care of my family.
Help me to not look at every occurrence in my life as a blog post, and to quit taking pictures of weird things to share as well. Please Lord, help me to stop talking about my blog friends as though they are next door neighbors or someone I have known all of my life.
And help me dear Lord, to think of something witty and wise to post tomorrow.
